Port Of Oakland Finishes Major Waterfront Upgrades

In January the Port of Oakland finished a $67 million expansion to its TraPac marine terminal, nearly doubling the footprint from 66 to 123 acres with completion of the waterfront project. In addition, the Port also added a third 1,400-foot-long dock to help bring in mega container ships and increased its fleet of ship-to-shore cranes from four to seven. The project continued a series of major renovations to the port, including the opening of Cool Port Oakland, a $90 million refrigerated distribution center, and the heightening of four existing cranes.
