As President of Western Overseas Corporation, Mr. Dugan participated extensively in regulatory agencies pertaining to International Trade. He has served as Director and President of the National Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association of America and President of the World Customs Brokers Association.

Locally Mr. Dugan has participated as Director of Chamber Commerce of Long Beach, California. He is past President of the Los Angeles Customs and Freight Brokers Association, Inc., and the Pacific Coast Council of Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders. He has served as Director and Past President of the Foreign Trade Association of Southern California. Mr. Dugan is Member of the Chief Executive Officers and the Los Angeles Area Presidential Advisory Committee.
Mr. Dugan travels extensively, regularly visiting our trading partners in countries around the world with hopes of fostering free trade and good will. Under Mr. Dugans watchful eye, Western Overseas Corporation has grown from a small office of 5 people in San Pedro, to employing over 165 people in 16 cites throughout the United States. Mr. Dugan is proud of his employees and values their friendship, as well as those of his associates and partners around the world as his greatest assets. With out friends, you have nothing, is a phrase he often uses. Mr. Dugan lives near Western Overseas Long Beach, California, headquarters and has two grown children.

Our Senior Vice President began his career with the Frank P. Dow Company. In 1976 he joined Western Overseas as Vice President of Operations. He has served on various committees with the Los Angeles Customs and Freight Brokers Association and is a member of the World Trade Center Association of Orange County. A licensed Customs Broker, his professional affiliations include; Past President and Chairman, Signal Hill Chamber of Commerce and Member, International Business Association.

Our Vice President of Customs Administration started with the company in 1957 and has been a licensed Customs Broker since 1971. She has served on the Board of the Los Angeles Customs and Freight Brokers Association as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President and President. She has chaired the Customs Committee and the Food and Drug Committee, currently sitting on the Customs Committee. She is well known at Customs both nationally and locally, and has a tremendous wealth of knowledge; she handles our protests, petitions, ruling requests and drawbacks.

Our East Coast Regional Manager began her career in the transportation industry some 30 years ago as a clerk typist. Moving on to entry writer, she initially specialized in importing flower bulbs, auto parts and textile machinery. She was awarded her Customs Broker license in 1985 and became regional manager of the F.W. Meyers and Company shortly after. Based in Norfolk, she is a respected manager supervising numerous branch offices while maintaining a hands-on approach with East Coast importations.

Our Los Angeles Airport Manager joined the company 20 years ago as a messenger and has become manager of a complex Los Angeles Airport operation. With a vast array of experience, he and his staff are entrusted with time sensitive shipments, local and domestic trucking as well as critical spare parts delivery for the marine transportation industry worldwide.

Our San Diego Manager began his border brokerage career working on the Canadian border in 1980 and received his license in 1985. After a short stint in Chicago, he moved to the San Diego area and has worked there ever since. He has served on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Brokers' Association for 13 years, and is currently acting Secretary for the San Diego Transportation Club, a position he has held for the last 3 years.
